Baking Soda Makes a Marvelous Cleanser
Did you know that baking soda can make a marvelous cleanser? You can use it as a mild abrasive to clean soap scum in the shower or tub, clean the stove or the kitchen sink. What else can you use it for? Sprinkle it on your carpet, let it sit for 15 minutes and vacuum. It works great as a deodorizer. Avoid harsh cleansers. Use it to clean the toilet. Sprinkle in a small amount and scour. Bathtub draining slow? Why use harsh drain openers? Pour powder down the drain. And then rinse with vinegar a little at a time. Hold a moist cloth over the drain and allow the foam to move the clog on down the line.
Next, try vinegar. In addition to using it for the bathtub, it also makes a marvelous window cleaner. Use it to clean the mirror in the bathroom as well. Cleaning carpets? Try mixing a little vinegar with your soap to help kill the odors. Lemon juice works great as well and can help provide a fresher scent.
